Where Is The Love cierra el tercer disco de la banda, Elephunk (2003) y fue su primer corte. Además cuenta con la participación Justin Timberlake.
Este álbum marcó dos cambios en la banda:
- Agregaron el The adelante del nombre
- Se incorporó Fergie a la formación
Con este disco la banda saltó a la fama ya que, a diferencia de los anteriores, incorporó más elementos del soul y R&B. Es decir que se hizo un poco más pop. Con eso ganaron masividad.
Más allá de esos detalles, el disco en general está muy bueno. Sus cuatro singles fueron todos hits que sonaron durante varios años en las radios, y al día de hoy siguen pasando algunos videos de esa época. Además del que publico hoy, están Hey Mama, Let's Get It Started y Shut Up.
Ante tanta violencia, con un debate importante sobre lo que está pasando en EEUU con el tema del terrorismo, quizás está bueno recordar que con la música se puede transmitir un mensaje de paz y amor. De la misma manera que lo hizo John Lennon en los '70 y salvando las distancias, los Black Eyed Peas lo hicieron al principio de este siglo con su estilo.
Para el que le interese leer la letra, la dejo acá publicada. Recomiendo leerla porque es muy interesante y se aleja mucho de lo que la banda nos tienen acostumbrados hoy en día.
